My 3 year old is obsessed with these. He’s been asking his father and I to read them to him everyday. These books are great for any age I think. I’m not ashamed to say I use the tips in these books sometimes too. We all need some help feeling peaceful sometimes. The best example for your children is you and acknowledging all emotions as valid is a great way to raise confident self assured children. The wording is a little more advanced as others have said but I do not mind that at all. I talk to my toddler like I would an adult and that’s how his vocabulary has grown. Nothing is too advanced as long as they’re willing to try.

These books were recommended by our 10 year old son’s therapist to help with his emotional issues especially his anxiety. I didn’t buy them then but a couple years later I did both he and our daughter love to read them. Our three year old loves them and references them daily. She hasn’t quite gotten to the point of understanding what emotions she is feeling but I can really see that these will help along the way. I know they have help our son.

I received one of these books as a gift for my 3 year old and initially thought it may have been too old for his comprehension. I am pleasantly surprised to see how connected he has become to the Scribble Spot book and ended up buying this box set. He has recently begun to express large emotions in a very big way. Since reading these books, he has now been able to identify as the “blue dot” or “red dot” before his feelings get out of hand and he becomes emotionally unregulated. It’s given all of us simple terms to discuss our feelings in a way we all understand and has reduced tantrums. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to emotionally connect more with their toddler.
