New York Times #1 bestseller! New York Times bestselling author and artist James Dean takes us on a St. Patrick’s Day adventure with Pete the Cat as Pete discovers how lucky he actually is! It’s St. Patrick’s Day, and it’s also the grand opening of Pete the Cat’s leprechaun catching business. Pete gears up to trap a leprechaun for his friends! But catching a leprechaun is never easy—especially if it’s Clover, who’s full of tricks. Will luck be on Pete’s side? Or will Pete learn luck is actually something earned? Pete the Cat: The Great Leprechaun Chase also comes complete with a poster, stickers, and twelve punch-out St. Patrick’s Day cards.

Purchased as a fun book for St. Patrick’s day for my kids. This was part of a buy 3 get 1 free Amazon sale (I believe this book is about $6 otherwise). Great story! Pete the cat tries catching a lucky leprechaun for his friends so they may have good luck. He realizes at the end friends who care are all the luck anyone needs(he helps his friends who needed “luck”). 12 cute cards are included with the sticker sheet and pretty good sized poster(I’d guess the poster is about 24in tall and 12in wide). For whatever reason this said #1 in religious holiday books in the Amazon heading but there’s nothing religious in any of this and is in fact very neutral on that note. LOVED this story and Pete the cat!

Super cute book that was well received as a gift from the leprechaun. My only complaint is that the cards and poster are stuck into the book and it’s super annoying to remove and could easily damage the pages if a child or even an adult isn’t careful. Also 12 cards is too few for a standard class size so I’m not sure what to do with them. My daughter did bring the book to school and the teacher was super excited to read it to the class. Apparently 2nd graders still enjoy Pete the Cat. I guess that’s evidence that it’s appropriate for a pretty wide age range and even ranked highly with my daughter who’s reading beginner chapter books like Magic Treehouse. And really, how many St Patrick’s Day books are out there?

I like the book perfect for this time of year. The only thing I didn’t like is that the st Patrick’s day cards that came with it are hard to remove from the middle of the book and when I was taking it off some of the binding broke which is annoying but the pages are not falling apart thankfully

We use books for my grandsons birthday party guest books yearly so je had them as keepsakes. He was a St Patrick’s Day baby. It’s a good kids book too.
